FLUID LOSS CONTROL ADDITIVES |
|---|
| INTRODUCTION
Fluid loss additives are used in cement slurries to keep the mix water from being forced out of the slurry into porous media (formation rock) or in narrow annuli when the slurry is subjected to downhole pressures and temperatures. Some of the benefits from using Messina fluid loss additives in your cement system design are: 1) maintain slurry homogeneity and desired flow properties, 2) minimize formation damage caused by cement filtrate, 3) ensure cement column uniformity and complete annular fill, 4) higher success rates for remedial (squeeze cementing). |
