| INTRODUCTION
These products include cellulosic polymers, starches, modified starches, CMC/polysaccharide complexes, and synthetics. The THERMO-TROL products are hybrid compounds incorporating thermostable synthetics on lignitic bases. Thermal stability of the starch and cellulose derivatives is in the range of 120-150°C, while synthetics such as POLYTHERM and THERMEX-FL can be applied in environments with temperatures as high as 260°C. Most of these products have beneficial secondary effects on mud rheology. |
