CORE TESTING EQUIPMENT |
|---|
| INTRODUCTION
These instruments are used to determine rock properties which aid the engineer in evaluating the production potential of a petroleum reservoir. Formation porosity and permeability are two of the most important rock properties to the petroleum engineer. Messina's state-of-the-art core testing equipment has been designed to allow the engineer to easily and accurately determine these very important parameters. |

Used to determine the steady state relative permeability of 1 and 1.5 inch diameter cores under simulated overburden pressures up to 10,000 psi. Product Data Sheet |
This instrument is used to evaluate the effects of acids and other treating chemicals on the permeability of core specimens. Tests may be performed at temperatures up to 350° F with five different test fluids. Product Data Sheet |
Allows for a fast and easy method to determine a core's permeability . Frequently used to examine the feasibility of performing additional core studies. Product Data Sheet |
Provides an easy yet effective method to determine the effective porosity of a core specimen. Product Data Sheet |
This compact unit incorporates an air permeameter and a Boyle's law porosimeter. |
This instrument can be utilized to determine the compressive strength of a rock sample and also permits the calculation of Poission's ratio. Product Data Sheet |
Used to cut either 1 or 1.5 inch diameter plugs from typical cores or other rock specimens. Product Data Sheet |
Allows the engineer to precisely cut cores to a predetermined length. Product Data Sheet
|
Enables the user to grind both core ends parallel for precise core studies. Product Data Sheet |
The Core Saturator is utilized to wholly saturate rock core specimens with test fluids. This greatly reduces the time normally required to obtain steady state conditions and also increases the accuracy of test results. Product Data Sheet |
In addition to the above list of equipment, Messina has the manufacturing facilities and engineering staff to manufacture custom laboratory equipment to the customer's specifications. Please do not hesitate to contact Messina for further information regarding this matter.
