OXYGEN SCAVENGERS

INTRODUCTION
These products remove dissolved oxygen from a treating fluid, thereby reducing or eliminating the chances of oxygen corrosion.

OILAID-OS-2

Liquid oxygen scavenger concentrate used to remove dissolved oxygen from feed water for water injection systems, water for hydrostatic testing, and any water that requires dissolved oxygen removal. OILAID-OS-02 may be injected in diluted or undiluted form into the injection water downstream of the de-aerator or whenever air/water contact is no longer possible. It is temperature stable, and the recommended dosages vary with application and protection required. For water injection systems, 9 ppm of OILAID-OS-02 per Þ 1 ppm of oxygen is recommended. For hydrostatic pressure tests, 11 ppm of OILAID-OS-02 per 1 ppm of dissolved oxygen present. This higher loading is required to account for air trapped within a pipeline.
